Aibel is a Norwegian producer and supplier of services to the oil and gas sector. The investment company Ferd has majority shares, and the company is otherwise owned by the Swedish Pension Fund and Ratos. Aibel owns 50% of the Egyptian Maintenance Company (EMC), with the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral resources. Head offices are located in Stavanger, Norway.
Through their engagement in EMC, Aibel is present in Africa. The company was previously also engaged in Libya.
Aibel offer annual sustainability reports in accordance with the Norwegian Transparency Act, as well as reports on a number of sustainability indicators. The company is a part of the UN Global compact, but not Norwegian African Business Association (NABA).
